A Peaceful Day at Pirate’s Cove

Maximus Relaximus (the Ultimate carp Hound) and I both love to fish Pirate’s Cove. To begin with, it is such a peaceful and tranquil venue……….

You can back your truck right up to your spot & in no time it’s like home away from home!

It’s a great place to read…………..

It’s a great place to chew…………

It’s a great place to relax and do what good Carp Hounds do……

But it is also a good place to fish!! We had 10 runs today and 6 out of 10 were brought to hand! It was just a matter of time before Max picked up the scent! After that it was Pull-Down time and some serious L&R! (Lick & Release).

Another thing about Pirate’s Cove is you just never know what ship will come into port. Toward the afternoon a white Chevy Ship loomed on the Horizon. Stepping off the deck was none other than Zach “Dogsnducks" Gordon! Zach eased down to join us & in no time we put him on a fish!!! Zach’s Goldie was landed on my 50 year old 9ft, two piece metal rod that I call the “Lightnin’ Rod!!”

Zach is one fine young man & it is always a pleasure to see him sail into port!

Folks, it’s not always about big fish. Sometimes it can be as simple as a peaceful day at Pirate’s Cove.
If you want to unwind sometime then why not Come see us?
