Seems like my local experts can't agree where to find winter striper. One guy says below the dam, next guy says fish the main channel, last guy says fish the creek mouths. The only stripe so far was in none of these spots.
Anyone here able to help a fellow out? |

Tell you what. We will plan a trip together, just paddle in the opposite direction that I go and you will be pretty much guaranteed to find striper, since I seem to be the anti-stripe magnet this year |

| What kind of water temps come out of the plant into lay lake. If the water is warm there it would be a good spot. There are some on wheeler that I heard are good. I know there is one on neely henry also but I don't know anything about it either. But if they are making the water warm you can bet the fish will be there. |

Also, there are several paper mill discharges that are warm as well. _________________ "but according to my math 3.04 lbs comes out to 3 lbs and .64 ounces, which, since he caught 18 more fish than me,I'm rounding to 3 lbs and 1 oz and giving myself biggest fish of the day honors. That may be some fuzzy math but I'm taking it."---mgoforth |
