It was great to get back on Mississippi water with Jeff(Jump-n-Fish) again. He is a great fisherman and even better individual. We put in around 5:40 in route to an 11 mile float. Probably my last time to do one that long when the temperature reaches 100.
Truth be told we caught about 25-30 small bass between us, with Jeff picking up two nicer ones. It was a beautiful float, but the bigger-ones took the day off.
Gotta love those Mississippi sandy put-ins.
Normal cookie-cutter spot from the day.
More good looking water (2pics).
Jeff with big fish of the day @ 1lb 11oz.
Possibly the smallest bass in the world....chomping on baby crawfish!
My best big mouth of the trip.
Jeff working a nice shoal.
Nothing better than a southern sunset with anticipatin of heading home to boiled peanuts! By the way, 11 miles ain't no joke.

Nice water and pics. Gotta love that sunset too. Would you care to name that stream? The first pic looks kinda like the Okatoma, the rapid section looks like a section of the Leaf. Bet I missed both guess by 60+ miles lol. Glad you shared the float with us. I thought everyone had left the forum. _________________ My plans always work sometimes.

| Sorry it took me so long to post ML. I really enjoyed the trip. It was brutal hot, but it was great to try some new water and to finally get to fish with you again. I'll put some of my pics up when I get the chance. Life got a little crazy shortly after that trip, and I've somehow forgot to check this site. |

This was just too funny not to post. One of the many times we needed to cool down from the deadly heat of the day.
