I usually fish the New River and rent a kayak, get shuttled, and fish all day. Great fun. But I'd like to try the French Broad. I hear the section below (North of) Asheville has the best fishing. Is there somewhere to rent a kayak and get shuttled? Is the water too rough to fish and kayak/canoe? What stretches would you recommend and who should I talk to about rentals?? I know I can go in the Biltmore stretch but heard that not as good fishing.
Or should I just go a wade the section N of Asheville? Where? Thanks!!!!! |
