Saluda River near 153 & Piedmont

Ok, so I recently bought land and cleared a path back to the river in between Saluda Lake and Lake Greenwood. More precisely between the river's intersection of 153 & the town of Piedmont.

The water is mostly clear, cold and very swift moving. Not a lot of rocks.

I wanted some insight of what to fish for and how??? This is new to me. Any insight?

Also, any input on where to put in for a float or canoe trip? I'm thinking put in at 153 bridge and float home...

I'm not really familiar with that area, but there may be a spring striper run in the river from Lake Greenwood. Stripers will hit plugs, jigs, live and cut bait. You can either drift or anchor for them. Additionally most piedmont rivers will hold largemouth, bream, crappie and catfish. Hope this helps. Good luck.
