sweet,

I got nothing for sale but before I offered any advise, just wanted to know what you were thinking about.

See, I got a dedicaded solo (Old Town Pack) and a tandem (Old Town Discovery 158) that I have converted to solo use but it still can go tandem because I left the original seats in it.

Right now, you can search Craig's List and find both very cheap. I recently found a OT Disco 119 (solo boat much like my Pack) for under $400 and a OT Disco 158 for around $500. Both boats retail are much higher.

I wager that there are some folks out there that if you offered half price, you could get it.

If you are stuck with the $250 range (bro, I can relate to that...for way too many years!), I bet you could find a tandem that you can also use as a solo in your price range.

Best of luck in your boat search,

Derek (aka Boyscout)

PS. anyway I can help, email me at derekp@charter.net
