Were in South Carolina should i go trout fishing. I have never trout fished before and would like a good place to start.

Depending on where you live I would recommend either the Lower Saluda in Columbia or one of the mountain streams like the Chatooga, Middle Saluda or Eastatoe. Trout are stocked in the Lower Saluda in December. Access is pretty limited however. If you have a small johnboat or canoe you can put in at Metts Landing in Lex. County and go upstream a short distance for decent fishing. I would not venture downstream unless you spend some time learning the river. Good luck.

I live in Darlington co., SC and i sold my boat this year. But i will be getting a one man boat with my taxes. I was thinking about the lower Saluda River also. Thanks.
