Forgive me for my ignorance but us northern boys have limited experience with salt-water fishing. I am planning a trip to SC with my dad to do some multi-species fishing in 2011. I have a few questions regarding Redfish fishing.

1. I have a 16 foot deep-V with a 60 horse Merc. Would this boat work ok? Is it too big or too small for Redfishing? What else should I be aware of regarding tides, etc?

2. What are some good baits to use for Redfish?

3. What is a the best time of year to fish for Reds?
